THE PROJECT:

SafeAir were engaged to deep clean hotel duct systems at both Watermark Hotel & Spa Gold Coast and Watermark Hotel Brisbane. The hotels were faced with the problem of excessive moisture build-up in bathroom areas due to accumulation of debris within the buildings central ductwork systems.

Technicians were able to remove the build-up through use of air tools and equipment and restore exhaust airflow to all areas of the hotel. Conference facilities, recreational areas and multiple toilet exhaust systems were also deep cleaned as part of the service.

Both hotels immediately noticed a massive improvement in airflow throughout bathroom and toilet areas and the hotels engineering and management staff were highly satisfied with the duct cleaning service.

Moisture build-up within bathroom and en suite areas in conjunction with blocked air vents, air registers and dampers can create the ideal breeding ground for mould, fungus, microbes and bacteria. Not only is this build-up a fire risk, the accumulation of this matter has been known to aggravate respiratory allergies and asthma in the elderly, children and infants. While not all mould is hazardous it is always best to eradicate it at the source by deep cleaning ductwork systems to prevent moisture build-up re-occurring in the future.
